Morocco

I lived in Casablanca in 1973-4; these are just a very few images I took from this lovely country.

This is the 'Corniche' at Casablanca; the sea is very dangerous all along this coast because of the strong undertows. There were many seawater swimming pools, some open to the public, some within private clubs. The summers were very warm, but the winters could be quite chilly.
This view overlooks the city of Fez; the souk here is like a maze and is one of the best-preserved mediaeval arab towns. The new town is laid out on a much more openplan basis.
This overlooks a large area of irrigated land, the irrigation water coming from a man-made lake in the Middle Atlas, not far from Beni Mellal. The dam supplies large amounts of electricity too.
